Your Business Money Blocks

When you try and create a successful business in the midst of existing money blocks, the blocks will always win.”

You want a successful business, right? But a successful business is more than just an amazing product or service. What makes your business successful is YOU and it goes beyond your warm personality, sexy social posts and killer networking skills.

The limiting beliefs you hold are what create the level of results in your business. A lot of entrepreneurs create a business plan, look at funding, open the right accounts, etc. And that’s a great step in the right direction but very few address the mindset of being a business owner. Working for yourself and working as an employee are two very different ways of thinking and ways of being.

If you don’t step into the mindset of a CEO, you’ll never truly become one.

Most entrepreneurs just want to jump to the quick and easy - they want to have this magical business that generates a 6 figure revenue but they’ll never get there if they don’t build the foundation for it.

Creating new behaviors and a new identity as a CEO is what foundational groundwork looks like. If you don’t face your money blocks and work through them, they are going to keep coming up, regardless if it’s year one or ten of your business. A weed will continue to grow until you physically remove it from below the ground. The same applies to your money blocks; they are the proverbial weeds of your business garden. You have to first unearth what is blocking you before you start to plant something new.

Here are some questions to uncover your level of mindset and what is blocking you from building the business that you are worthy of.

Journal Prompts:

  1. What money stories and limiting beliefs are holding you back from achieving your business goals?

  2. What do you fear and why? (ie. success, failure, being alone, meeting new people, being seen, etc.)

  3. Do you hold a fear that money will change you? If yes, how do you believe it will change you?

  4. Who do you compare yourself to the most? What about them has you constantly in comparison?

  5. What reward do you receive from worrying about what others think of you? (ie. Allows you to stay hidden, allows you to not have to ‘try’ so hard, etc.)

  6. Are you spending your time on the "busy work" but avoiding the real tasks that are actually going to move your business forward? Procrastination is rooted in fear. What is procrastination allowing you to avoid that you are really in fear of?
