Take Your Money on a Date

I'll break it down for you…

We all need money to buy the things that bring us joy, to spend on those we love and to experience all that we want in life. Let’s face it… we need money for pretty much everything. Yet, we hardly ever show it any love or give it enough of our time and attention.

If money were your partner, how would it feel in your current relationship?

If your money relationship needs more love, try spending more quality time with your money.

Plan this week to take your money on a date. During your money date you want to review your financial goals, check in on your spending, update your budget and decide what adjustments you need to make to ensure you hit your financial goals. Then challenge yourself to schedule in weekly dates with your money going forward. Like any successful relationship, you have to put in the time and ensure you are both working together towards your mutual goals.

Here are 3 tips to make it one of the best dates you've ever had:

Tip 1: Set the intention - how do you want to show up in your money relationship this week? What areas of your money relationship need working on this week? What is one money goal you wish to accomplish this week?

Tip 2: Set the mood - light some candles, get your crystals or burn some sage. This isn't just something to tick off the To-Do List. This is your sacred time with your money and a time to connect to the energy of money.

Tip 3: Give thanks - open your accounts and express thanks towards your current balances. When you are grateful for the little, you are able to attract the lot.
